TAILG attended the Global Electric Two- and Three-Wheeler Conference and shared the successful experience which was mentioned repeatedly and widely recognized in promoting global electrification projects

Recently, the Global Electric Two- and Three-Wheeler Conference was held in Bangkok, Thailand. Representatives from more than 50 countries from Asia, Africa, America and other regions convened in Bangkok from 9th – 12th October 2023 to exchange knowledge on the electrification of two and three-wheelers in low and middle-income countries (LMICs). As a leading global electric vehicle brand, TAILG participated in the conference and its participation was mentioned repeatedly in the sharing of project experiences from other countries.

The meeting was initiated by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), which invited the German International Climate Initiative (BMU-IKI), the European Union (EU), the Global Environment Facility (GEF), and other institutions and experts to conduct in-depth discussions. The core topics of the conference including the ecology of electric two-wheelers and three-wheelers in Southeast Asia and Africa, the stories of innovations in the pilot and large-scale promotion of global EV promotion projects, the development trends, pain points of related national policies and localization of the industry, as well as the latest intelligent, implementation and exchange of charging and swapping technology.

 

This is the first time that UNEP has brought together stakeholders from Asia, Africa, and Latin America to discuss how new technologies can contribute to sustainable development. George Lee, the Vice President of Overseas Business Division, and Jayson Huang, the Deputy General Manager of Overseas Business Division from TAILG Group, and Evans，Region Manager, Thailand were invited to attend the meeting and share their extensive experiences in global electric mobility promotion programs.

As a globalized enterprise, TAILG has become a partner of the United Nations Environment Programme's Electric Mobility Program since 2018. It has successively promoted electric vehicle projects on a pilot basis around the world and pioneered the participation of Chinese EV brands in global environmental governance.

In July 2022, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the Belt and Road Center for Environmental Technology Exchange and Transfer (Shenzhen) and the TAILG Group signed a strategic cooperation which centered on environmental technology exchange and promotion, promoting leading green mobility technologies, products, and standards, etc.

In January 2023, TAILG also established and  Global E-mobility Programme Research Institute with the United Nations Environment Programme and China Quality Certification Center to implement China's new energy-electric vehicle mobility program. In July, the launching ceremony of the pilot project of TAILG to promote the transformation of motorcycle electrification in Thailand was held in Bangkok, Thailand, with the project receiving full affirmation and praise from the Thai government and UNEP.  In August, TAILG made a cooperation agreement on electric motorcycles again with Malaysia's NI HSIN EV TECH SDN BHD.

Up to now, TAILG has set up electric mobility pilot projects in many countries such as Kenya, Uganda, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, etc. and its products are exported to more than 90 countries and regions worldwide. In addition, the microfilm "Stamps" which is based on TAILG's contribution to the development of environmental protection in the Philippines, won the Grand Prize in the "One Belt, One Road" Eco-environmental Protection Story Microvideo Competition.

At the conference, among the innovative achievements and experiences shared by countries about electric two-wheelers and three-wheelers, TAILG was the only EV company that was mentioned several times, and they all said that TAILG's global promotion program has greatly helped the development of local EVs.

 

"We also welcome any government agencies, associations, and organizations related to EVs around the world to visit and exchange ideas in China, and to jointly explore the potential of the electric de-walking program in global promotion," said Jayson Huang, Deputy General Manager of the Overseas Business Division of TAILG.

It was also noted that the UN Environment Programme would collect relevant inputs from this conference and prepare a comprehensive outcome document to guide the global discussion on the electrification of two- and three-wheeled vehicles worldwide.
